At Lowcountry Learning Homeschool Cooperative, our mission is to provide high-quality education that empowers our students to become successful and responsible members of society.
Several homeschool accountability groups are available to South Carolina families. Sample list here.
As a homeschool family, each family accepts responsibility as the authority for their child's education. Lowcountry Learning serves as a partner in this process, providing the curriculum and teaching support to keep parents on track and give children the teaching resources they need to support their individual learning process.
You are! The State of South Carolina fully supports the parent's right to self-educate their own children. Through a partnership with educational groups such as Lowcountry Learning parents can provide their children with the best of both worlds - homeschool learning in an organized, teacher-led learning environment.
As a registered homeschool family you are responsible for ensuring your homeschool child has met the educational attendance requirements for each school year. This means that we will miss your child for days that are missed, but the family is in charge of the overall attendance of the child by making up missed work on their own schedule. For our traveling families, this means attendance is fully in your control and nothing is reported by LowCountry Learning when days are missed.
